Services

Therapeutic Behavioral Services

Therapeutic Behavioral Services provide individualized, in-the-moment support that helps clients build healthy routines, work through emotional and behavioral challenges, and make steady progress toward their goals — with the involvement of a case manager who keeps the plan connected.

Who this supports

Support built around real, everyday life.

These services support youth and adults working on emotional regulation, behavior change, life-skill development, or steady day-to-day functioning. They're often used alongside Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), mentoring, or other coordinated care.

  • Healthy routines and daily structure
  • Emotional and behavioral support
  • Goal development and follow-through
  • Balanced living across school, work, and home
  • Skill building for real-life situations
  • Progress monitoring with your team

How it works

A steady, human process.

Every client's path is different. These steps show the general shape of working with our team.

  1. Meet your team

You're introduced to the Momentum team member you'll work with, along with your case manager who helps hold the bigger picture.
  2. Set the goals that matter

Together, we identify a few clear goals — the kind you can actually see change on in weekly life.
  3. Practice in real situations

Sessions focus on real skills for real moments — not worksheets. That may include practicing routines, working through triggers, or building new habits.
  4. Monitor and adjust

Progress is reviewed regularly. Goals stay flexible so your plan grows with you.

What clients can expect

A grounded, respectful experience.

  • A team member who knows your goals and your context
  • Support in the moments that matter most
  • Case-manager involvement that keeps everything connected
  • Honest, ongoing check-ins about what's working

Possible goals

Progress worth working toward.

  • Manage strong emotions with more tools and confidence
  • Build consistent daily and weekly routines
  • Strengthen relationships at home, school, or work
  • Reduce behaviors that are getting in the way of your goals
  • Increase independence in day-to-day living

Goals are set collaboratively with each client and may change over time.

Role of the team

Who you'll work with.

Therapeutic behavioral support is delivered by trained Momentum team members and coordinated with a case manager who supports the broader plan. The role is skill-building and coaching — not crisis response, prescribing, or clinical therapy.

Frequently asked

Common questions about TBS.

Don't see your question? Call or text (614) 906-3210 and we'll help.

  • TBS focuses specifically on skill building and behavior change in the moment. CPST tends to focus more on ongoing daily-living support and coordination. Many clients benefit from both.
